Many people will connect that maths is identical with numbers in majors. When you were good in Maths, it means that you are good at numbers and vice versa. We are trapped too deep in the arithmetics most of the time. It also happens to me, for honest. I usually focus more on numbers or arithmetics rather than other branches of maths, like geometry, statistics, and measurement. Therefore, when I had a chance to review The Dragon Box Element apps from WeWantToKnow, I was very happy. I would have never known that my youngest son (8 years old) really enjoys geometry and can do it very well if he hadn't done The Dragon Box Element apps. It has helped me a lot in introducing geometry to the lower elementary grade son.
About The Dragon Box Element apps
The Dragon Box Element is an application that teaches kids geometry indirectly or secretly. There are 100+ puzzles that request players to do the requirement of building certain plain shapes. The atmosphere of the game is adventurous. Players are asked to wake the soldiers to get them together freed the dark kingdom into a happy and light kingdom. The soldiers are hidden and trapped in shapes that players have to discover based on the puzzle instruction and the theories.
Each level has its own challenges and the technics or the key is taught previously before players start the level.
Explaining Geometrical Concept in A Game
I bet that the public school will need a year time to explain the geometrical concepts as they are included in The Dragon Box Element Apps including the school and home works. This application can help players to learn and practice the geometrical concepts in a game or not in a class time.
Saving The Time with The Vocabulary
There are a lot of vocabularies going along with the geometrical concepts. Mastering the vocabularies with the concept will be certainly helpful for kids continuing to more advanced levels of geometry. How long do you spend to get the kids mastering the numerous geometrical terms? Using The Dragon Box Element apps you don't need to spend as longer time as you do with the manual teaching. That is what happen to us.
As you know we are not a native English speaker. At the same time after my son finishing the hard level of the game, he has a geometry test at school. He hasn't been homeschooled yet and he will start in the middle of this year. The test will be in Bahasa, our native language. He didn't have any idea of what was taught at school. In a very short time, he can transfer what he has got in the Dragon Box Element apps to his Maths from school that uses Bahasa. I just need to help him in a short time.
Getting Kids Recognize the Shapes in Daily Life Better
Since my son loves playing this apps, he gets a bit addicted to the shapes in the daily life. He just becomes familiar with the 2D shapes as he plays with the apps. It makes me shock to hear him mention the shapes without being asked. I am sure that it will increase his inquiry in geometry in the future.

Parents and teachers should not be worried that they won't be able to follow the flow of the learning and the main points of the topics delivered.
