Parents often forget that education is not always about academic life. The question about education is always related to the academic life
"What is your education?"
"I was graduated from ..... University or high school"
Those are a common conversation that bring a concept of education as academic achievement. We cannot blame the common concept, but we should not ignore the basic concept of real education itself, which is the character education. People cannot live in a world with just some academic education only. What happen with the world without the character and spiritual education? Therefore, I would like to remind parents to educate children properly so they will get balance education in moral, spiritual, and academic life.
What is character education? How can you train children with character education?
Today, I am very happy to share with you some wonderful tips and lists of Forgotten Children's Education from some blog posts in Family Fun Friday link up party I love.

- A Parenting Social Dilemma at Mommy Engineering.
For me, Society should take a part to the children's education, especially the character education. Children will learn from the real world situation. When nobody care each other, they will have a tendency to be ignorant as well. However, people should have limit also to interfere other's life. As long as the matter is not something personal, it is still the responsibility of the society. I agree that it takes a village to rise a child.
- Teaching Kindness at Royal Little Lamb.
Being kind can be trained. The best training is by giving example. That is definitely correct. In the midst of the individualism of the modern world, it is very hard to teach the character of being kind to children. However, they should apply it in their daily life. How will the world look like in the future without kindness? It will be a really cruel world.
- 7 Truths to Teach Your Children at Smart Moms, Smart Ideas
I love the 7 points you explain. Parenting always need encouragement and reminder. I often forget about how precious time we have with them. Teaching them some life skills will make our life richer. However, it is not easy to teach them those 7 points. It takes time and parents should no give up in the middle.
- Everyday Scholes: Multum Non-Multa from The Sunny Patch
I am a fan of the classical homeschooling. However, the concept of multum non multa is something new for me. I completely agree that we should try to find the best for kids rather than trying to cover everything under the sun. That is a basic principle of education, I think. We educate children not only for academic things, but also there are more areas of life that play important roles in the children's life. This will give me more perspective in planning the year.
- Why Should We Homeschool?- Part 8- Learning from Life at Red Head Mom
I agree with you that we can explore this world by just living in it. That is a real exploration. We are a homeschooling family as well. I can understand that we won't have enough time to do real life learning when children were at school. Education is not only about the academic life, but it should be about real life learning.
- Before Screen Time at The Dempster Log Book
What an awesome list! That's right, we can have fun, but we need to do the work first. Children need to know that freedom is not for everything. We are living and we cannot leave the real life that demands people to work. The screen time is not everything in real.
