Our first science topic for this semester is “What's the Matter”. We are learning some very basic aspects of chemistry. We have finished with types of matters. This is our first experiment in chemistry. We are observing different density of some things.
50ml cooking oil
1 lego block
400ml beaker glass
Explain what density is.
Inform the objective of the experiment, which is to observe the “weight” of the liquid and lego.
Mix all of the ingredients in the beaker glass and wait it is stabil, no moving.
The result shows that substances with more dense stay deeper in the beaker glass.
Kids really enjoy this experiment. They loved to see layers of colourful liquid.
