Typing sounds like a minor skill that everyone might have mastered naturally as soon as they touch the typing keyboard. Well, typing is not that difficult if your standard that you only can make a piece of writing. However, the standard of business and professionalism is much higher. Typing is not for creating document only, but it includes communication and creativity as well. This is why typing skill becomes demanding for everybody because it enables you to type faster, easier, and without any effort. To teach children with the skill, I was trying to get a fun program and I am very glad that we recently find the free KidzType Typing Games.
There are several ways people can type fast, but that is not that easy. Although, there has been an old and well-proven typing method, the 10 finger method, that people call as touch-typing. It enables us to use all ten fingers without removing them from the keyboard, but rather sliding them.
What is KidzType?
KidzType is a free online program to learn the touch-typing. When you visit the site, you will see 4 levels of dance mat games, each of which consists of 3 different stages. From that point, you will conclude that this site is intended for kids because the games dominate the typing lessons more than the classical methods or theory which are mostly used to start the typing lessons. By doing the dance mat activities, it will be enough to cover all other activities in the navigator menu.
Why We Love Kidztype Typing Games
The first time I visit Kidztype, I was surprised that the fabulous program is free of charge. We don't need to signup to get access. However, it has all a typing program requires to teach and to master the touch typing, start from
- typing lessons
- typing exercise
- typing practice
- typing test
- The most important thing of all, we can practice typing with Kidztype Typing Games.
Touch-typing needs a lot of practice and exercise to master. The theory is not enough to get everyone to master the skill. The problem is my kids are easily bored with the practice or exercise drill. Therefore, it is not doubted that games will be the best “medicine” for most children. Learning to type with games is very suitable for kids, and even for adults because I use it as well. I can type fast, but it doesn't follow the method properly. Therefore, I try to make up mine. I believe that using the right method will give a much better result for my daily typing activities and even business.
More than a typing skill
Learning to touch-type is more than just typing skills. We learn how to use a good posture to support the body showing a much better result. My sons usually raise his legs when they sit down. They often bend their body. Learning to touch-type, they try hard to follow the instructions. At first, it was incredibly challenging to get them to follow the rule. However, they really want to beat themselves in the games, so they try hard to follow the rules.
How to Teach Yourself to Touch Type
