The age of 3 to 5 years old is very important in the intellectual and personal growth of children. Their brain and their physics will never stop moving around. You should be proud and grateful to have such active children. You might be laughing of what I am talking now since you feel that your children have distracted you a lot and it is funny that can be grateful and proud of them. That is exactly correct that the preschooler aged children might look very disturbing, but have you ever thought of the reasons behind the mischievous behavior? Most of the problems are due to the lack of qualified activities for the fresh growing children. That is why qualified activities for the preschooler aged children are great demands for families that have preschoolers.
The situation is really emergent for my sister who has 4 children with one preschooler, one baby, and a couple of early elementary aged children. Her time has been absorbed a lot for teaching the schooled children and nursing her baby. The preschooler is a bit neglected. Therefore, I am very excited to have a chance for reviewing Leo’s Pad fromKidaptive. I receive the product for free, but I am compensated for my time. All opinions are honest and I am not required to post a positive review.
A Brief about Leo’s Pad
Before we go further, I would like to give a short introduction about Leo’s Pad. It is an iTunes Apps which is targeted for preschoolers. There are 6 chapters and a finale one in the app with a combination of multi-skilled activities in each of the chapter.
Benefits of Leo’s Pad from Kidaptive
Today I would like to introduce my niece, Maggie, who uses the apps and becomes the fan. She is the third child of my sister’s. She has regular time for playing with iPad. My sister has arranged some time limit for her to play with gadget. Since we live as neighbors, I accompany her playing to translate some vocabulary she doesn’t understand. Remember, we are not native speakers. She has used the apps a couple of months and she loves it a lot. Her parents also feel very satisfied for some reasons.
Have Wonderful display
I think everyone will be agree with us that Leo’s Pad has a wonderful animation. The movement of the images is seamless. The sound is also great. Although it has great animation, our iPad doesn’t get slower in speed even we use the 1st generation iPad.
Demand Children to Listen
Using this apps, my niece is really forced to listen very carefully. As I told you before, we are not English native speakers. Leo’s Pad is very helpful for my niece to practice his English listening skill. She has to listen things for several times to know what she needs to do to complete each activity and chapter. If she doesn’t understand, she asks and she memorize the words indirectly without any force and burden.
Each Chapter Has Great Moral Message
There are 6 chapters with one closing chapter. Each of it has moral message. She has not finished all of the chapters yet, but we have discussed the three chapters’ message delivered indirectly when she works on them like asking for help, helping others, getting perseverance. It is great for my sister to know that the app her daughter uses to learn doesn’t give only fun things, but there is also some moral message.
Integrate Multi Skills and Subjects
There are some learning areas and skills involved in Leo’s Pad apps in each chapter:
- Motor skills
Children will have alternative of learning rather than on paper activities. Those skills and subjects are packed neatly in forms of stories in 6+1 chapters.
Has Clear Instruction
Although my niece has some barrier in language, she still can understand and she can get used to the instruction delivery without any problem. Therefore, she can play the games independently, without a lot of help from adults.
Available for Some Players
There isn’t any other preschooler other than my niece at home, but if you have more than one preschoolers, you don’t need to purchase more than one apps, but you can set other players’ account separately.
