Year 2014 has passed away, but it was a really great year for me to start blogging more seriously. It has been the first time that I had all of the homeschooling curriculum mostly from sponsors and some from the national curriculum. Thank you very much all of our readers to support us.
Year 2014 was full of memory. I cannot believe that I have got some great posts our readers love to visit. Most of them are also my favourite posts. Today, I would like to share with you my other favourite Posts from 2014. I poured all of my heart to write them and I really want my readers enjoy them one more time more closely.
My Children's Points of View toward Homeschooling
It was the first time I asked my children their opinion about homeschooling. I was very surprised to hear their answers when I was in a great doubt whether they were happy being homeschooled or not. This post gives us a new spirit in our homeschooling life.
I Can't Homeschool Because I Am Not Confident
There are many people have the same feeling and condition like me. I am not a patient either super homeschooling mom, but I feel very concern when someone who wants to homeschool her children but she is not confident with herself in many ways. I would like to say that she is not alone. Many people have the same problem. Read things that make me not confident at all. Hopefully you will get some encouragement.
When Homeschooling Doesn't Make Everyone Happy
I wrote the post when I met some people who feel not happy with the decision of homeschooling children. They were not other people that I didn't know, but they were also some family members that I thought they have supported us. I was very disappointed, but here is life. The opinion of others about homeschooling should not give any discouragement for us.
Daily Homeschooling Styles, Sandals vs Shoes
I have been very sensitive when I wrote about the post. People often stereotype homeschooled children for not having formal daily appearance here. It dues to the habit of wearing sandals during the schooling time. I just feel it is unfair to put the homeschooled children under the judgement. People should not think that homeschooling is a way to move the school into home and they forget to consider how human being have the ability to do some adaptation.
Homeschooling vs Public Schooling
Until right now, most people still think that public school is the normal place to learn for children. Homeschooling is still a too extreme choice for many people. Tragically, there are some people that still don't have any idea about the reasons people choose homeschooling their children. I wrote this post to try clarifying the difference between homeschooling and public schooling so that people have more understanding and tolerance toward the choices.
Negative Responses toward Homeschooling
I thought hard when I wrote about this series. There are 10 issues about homeschooling I often deal with and they really make me uneasy. Since the answers for the issues are too long to be published as single post, I divide it into three posts. I wrote this series with a great hope that the posts will help many homeschooling families that might have the same issues addressed.
Socialization-Certification-Discipline: Negative Responses to Homeschooling {Part 1}
Rebellion-Weak Mental-Limited Intellectual Growth: Negative Responses to Homeschooling {Part 2}
Boredom-Single Teacher-Children’s Right: Negative Responses to Homeschooling {Part 3}
Problems with The Notebooking Activities
As you know, we really love notebooking activities. You might think that we don't have any challenge and obstacles in the activities. However, we experienced a lot of problems that I wrote in a couple of posts:
Problems in The Notebooking Activities (Part 1)
Problems in The Notebooking Activities {Part 2}
I love those posts since I wrote them with a great intention to help people in notebooking activities. In those posts, I share real problems that we have already deal with. I put all of my thought inside.
Keep a Well Balanced Juggle between Homeschooling and Blogging
I really love this post since it always reminds me all of the time to give limit towards my blogging activities. I always read and reread it since I don't want to be imbalanced in both blogging and homeschooling. I think if you are interested in blogging and if you are a blogger, you need to read this post.
