The Olympic Games doesn't happen yearly. This is a wonderful sports event that makes people around the world meet together in several competitions.
There are only 8 Olympic Games I have watched in my life so far. Therefore, I always wait for this event. Although the echo of the event is not as loud as it was in the past, people are still interested to watch.
I remember that I can wake up overnight in the past when the Indonesian Badminton team were playing. It was very exciting. There are more and more entertainment and other modern activities that reduce the popularity of Olympic Games in my country. As a result, my sons are not really interested in the games.
However, I still think that kids still need to watch and to know about the Olympic Games:
- They will know more kinds of sports by reading and watching the Olympic Games.
- We will see how people around the world meet up in
sportatmosphere. They can see people with different colors of skins and hair.
- Kids can review the history of the Olympic Games in the Ancient Greece history. They will see that the real modern event is the result of the old tradition.
- Olympic games can be a great discussion and entertainment for families. We can discuss the message in games we watch.
- The symbols and colors of The Olympic Games can inspire us to use for some craft, DIY, and food.
- Kids will see the real model of being sportive characters shown by the players.
- The spirit of players to achieve the best in the games can encourage kids to do their best in real life as well.
- Kids will listen to some national anthem and they can see how players show their proudness of their nationality.
- Kids will learn different countries with the flags, songs, and people.
- Kids can learn more about the country that hosts the Olympic Games.
