Me on The Map Notebooking Page

$2.99

I just try to imagine how to get a child think out of their indoor habitat to the outdoor world. It just happens naturally, isn’t it? Have you thought about how you had the first insight to your house, your neighborhood, your state, your country, and finally to the world?

Me on the Map by Joan Sweeney has been on my radar in opening children’s eyes toward the real world from their bedroom. This book is not something new actually, but it has a great idea to open the children’s insight toward the outside world in a gradation. The gradation or hierarchy here means from room, house, street, town, state or province, country and the world.

Although the book is thin with simple sentences, there are a lot of activities we can do with children to get emerged in each of the environment and society.

–>The introduction for children to the social environment can be extended toward the communities, economic, and government on the next level of learning. Therefore, we cannot underestimate the very simple book, Me on the Map by Joan Sweeney.

–>The package contains 46 pages to explore the book using narration and drawing.

–>This activities actually can be used for children from K-3 in some levels.
