Hi everyone,Have you ever felt that 24 hours are not enough for you to do a lot of things you want to achieve? That is what happen to me a lot of times. There are too many things that I have to do and want to do. A lot of goals are scrambled in my agenda: the family schedules, the home making planning, the homeschooling agenda, and the blogging goals. I have tried hard to classify and to organize the realization, but it is very hard to achieve all of them at the same time. I really don’t want my resolutions fail either.
I can say that all of the goal points have made me insane at the certain points. It is hard also to get them in ballance altogether. I have already had agenda or planner for each of them, so what should I do then?
Indicate the sequence of procedure from the mind map
In each area of the agenda, let’s try to pick the due date or the urgent points in the smaller scope, whether it is monthly, weekly, or daily. If you want to be more specific, put it daily or even hourly from each area of goals.
For example: for family schedule, we want to have a vacation on August. It is February right now. It is great to mind map what we need to do, start from:
- Hotel or accommodation
- Agenda or itinerary
In blogging, I am organizing a book launch program. Then, I need to mind map the areas of working for the pre launching, launching, and post launching, such as:
- Social media posts
- Promotional emails
- Promotional posts
- Blogger Team
From each area, I need to determine the details and the sequence of procedure. For example: the family vacation above needs some steps to do in the transport area.
- Counting the number of participants
- Determine the transport to take
- Looking for good travel agent
- Booking the tickets
- Doing the transport payment
- Keep the tickets
At the same time, we need also to arrange the itinerary as well, considering:
- The objects we want to visit
- What we are going to do
- How long we spend our time
- The best route for transportation
Alocate the time for each step
From the details and the sequence of procedure, we would like to spread and fit each item or point into the time provided for reaching the goals in sanity. You might have some areas of goals like family, homeschooling, homemaking, and blogging. Mixing those more detail points in each area altogether and putting them into the time line will help us tracking the points so we won’t miss out any of them.
Combine Your Goals or Projects into Daily Routine
If you are a working at home mom, it is necessary to combine your working goals or projects into your daily time line so that you will keep your life in balance. If you don’t like to write your daily routine in details (I bet most of us don’t), it is good to write the points to do on your working routine. Make sure you put your mixed to do points in realistic span of time.
Stick to The Time
The schedule or agenda is made to help you managing the task on the right time. Therefore, sticking to the “to do” points needs to be done strictly as much as you can. If you mannage the time allocation realistically, then it is not something impossible to stay stick to the agenda. Consistency is really the key here, even if you are sick of it. A timer in your mobile phone can be a great help also.
Ask for Help
In somecase, you cannot force yourself doing all of the things by yourself. Asking for help from someone else can keep you insane when you feel that you cannot finish everything by yourself. I suggest you to throw away your perfectionist site when you feel you have reached the limit. Accepting the fact that you have reached the limit will lighten your burden.
Get Yourself Motivated
Motivation plays a big role in reaching goals. Not everyone can have self motivation. Thus, you need to seek for it. Think of something that can give you motivation. It can be your family, your intention, etc. The absolute motivation that you can get is from God. Prayer and scripture can be a huge motivation for you for reaching goals. Reminding yourself to the main mission and vision can be a great motivation also.
Today I would like to share a daily planner for tracking some activities inn daily based from some different goal areas. Click the picture bellow to download:
