We are now at the end of 2014. I am very happy that our blog is growing. You might not care about this, but I feel really grateful that we can keep our juggling between homeschooling and blogging. Blessed Learners has operated for one and a half year. I started this blog from the scratch by self learning. It is very lucky also that in the middle of the way, I can join some groups in the social media and network so that I can develop this blog much better. I also joined some blogging courses to support myself with more knowledge and practice. Learning is never ending. There are a lot of things happen in this blog. Here is the Reflection of My Blog in 2014
Early 2014 we use Elegant Themes. I found they are great in all of their designs. A newbie like me could use all of the themes easily. Since I would like to extend my knowledge in blog design to a more code challenges, I dared myself to use Genesis Framework. At the first time I used prose theme and in the middle of the year I changed into news pro. I really love genesis for the consistency in coding. I might try another theme early of next year. The themes I have tried so far are: Prose, News Pro, and Education Pro.
There are more sponsors in our blog so that I didn't spend any Indonesian currency in the new homeschool academic year. To let you know, our Rupiah currency has been weakening a lot since the middle of the year. Currently, US$1 is equal with Rp. 12,550. It costs a portion of fried rice I purchase in the traditional food kiosks. Thanks God that we have more and more sponsors in a form of affiliation and ads. I can purchase the online resources using the US$ calculation. Thank you everyone who has used our links. You have supported us in maintaining this blog and our learning resources with loosing anything at all.
In 2014, I decided to get more focus in homeschooling posts without leaving other posts. I dedicate the homeschooling posts for my sons and for other homeschooling family since homeschooling has been a minority in my country and might be in other places in the world. We are not going to against the public schooling system, but we try to encourage and give ideas to other homeschooling.
This is the first year I send newsletter once in two weeks. Our subscriber list is growing significantly into thousands. There are some benefits you might get if you subscribe to our newsletter:
- You will not miss any post during 2 weeks
- You will get a list of printables download links at the end of the newsletter
- You will get some promo that I find exciting. You won't get it everyday since I am very picky in sharing promo news.
- You will get a Student Planner 2015 or any featured subscriber freebies made exclusively for my subscribers.
We still have some subscriber freebies for our readers, but I am very sure that they are growing as our need of homeschooling files are growing too. I try to customize our files for our needs. I am not going to keep it for myself, but I would be very happy to share them with my readers, especially my subscribers.
Participation in Network
This year I started to join the iHomeschool Network. There are a lot of great homeschooling bloggers join this network. We have some hops and and link up where I participate at least once in a week. I am very happy to be able to know a lot of bloggers in this network.
Contribution to other Blogs
This year I have contributed to 3 blogs: Blessed Beyond a Doubt, Frugal Homeschool Family, and The Multitaskin Mom. It has been a great moment to collaborate with other bloggers. I learn a lot about the way other bloggers manage their content, schedule, and performance.
At the end of this year I manage a contribution blog for Indonesian homeschooling family, Aprinesia, where some Indonesian writers contribute. I feel excited to be able to design and manage the blog.
Social Media Growth
There are incredibly significant growth of each social media followers or likes. I try best to communicate with more and more leaders through the social media. It is lucky that I know people living around the world through the social media. You can find me here:

The Experience of Being Hacked
I was very upset since last week this blog was infected by malicious files. It is great that finally Sitelock can fix the infection and now this blog has been running well.
Since I really like notebooking activities with my children, I love making our DIY Notebooking Pages, I build our simple e-store. You might visit and purchase any of them to ease your notebooking activities.
This blog will not grow this much without my readers. Thank you very much everyone who has been care for us and work together with us.
